Ethic Tech is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Anti-Terrorism (AT) Analyst to join our team at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. This role directly supports the AMC Protection Program by managing and mitigating risks to the safety and security of Soldiers, Civilians, family members, contractors, facilities, infrastructure, and information across the command.
The Analyst will function at a strategic level, focusing on policy compliance, advanced threat analysis, and the development of formal, command-level protection plans and staff procedures.
Essential Functions
The Anti-Terrorism Analyst will execute the following key functions, often leading the analysis and development of formal staff products:
- Policy Analysis & Management: Develop, implement, and manage analysis and assessment methods (e.g., vulnerability assessments, risk profiles, threat matrices) to evaluate the effectiveness and compliance of AMC and subordinate elements' Protection Programs against DoD and Army policy. Prepare formal reports and decision briefs for senior leadership.
- Continuous Threat Intelligence: Conduct continuous research and analysis of global and regional threat streams, producing timely intelligence updates on emerging threats (including physical and cyber) that may impact AMC's missions, personnel, and infrastructure.
- Vulnerability Remediation: Prioritize and track the remediation of vulnerabilities identified during assessments, directly supporting the development of Antiterrorism Plans, Risk Reduction Measures, and associated budget requests in coordination with AMC components.
- Cross-Functional Integration: Lead and facilitate working groups across diverse functional areas (e.g., Intelligence, Security, Emergency Management) to integrate protection requirements into all AMC planning and operational cycles (e.g., exercises, deployments).
- Technical Consulting: Provide expert consultation and perform multiple customer support functions, including planning, design, assessment, cost analysis, resource management, and quality management for high-priority protection projects.
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in security management, Intelligence Analysis, Military Science, or a relevant technical field (additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for education).
- At least 7 years of experience directly supporting a DoD/Army Protection Program (AT/FP) at the Strategic (Major Command or higher) level.
- Certification: Must possess or be able to obtain the Army Antiterrorism (AT) Level II certification within 90 days of hire.
- Staff Operations Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in developing formal Antiterrorism Plans, Force Protection Condition (FPCON) protocols, and supporting the Command Protection Working Group (CPWG) or similar high-level protection forums.
- Communication: Exceptional briefing skills to articulate complex threat and vulnerability data to General Officer/SES-level audiences. Proven ability to draft formal Staff Action Memorandums (SAMs) and Information Papers in a military command environment.
Desired Qualifications
- Operational Tasker Experience: Experience utilizing TMT (Task Management Tool) and/or ETMS (Enterprise Task Management Software Solution) for managing, tracking, and responding to formal staff taskers within a military headquarters environment.
- Direct experience utilizing Harmonized Risk Assessment (HRA) and/or Critical Infrastructure Risk Management (CIRM) methodologies.
- Experience with one or more Protection Program functional areas: Law Enforcement, Physical Security, Emergency Management, Operations Security (OPSEC), Continuity of Operations (COOP), Fire and Emergency Services, or Cyber Security/Computer Network Defense (CND).
- Experience with assessing threat response strategies and procedures and the relevant Army regulations.
- Leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior-level team members.
- Relevant professional certification (e.g., DoD Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification, Level II or higher, or equivalent professional certification like PSP or CPP).
Citizenship and Security Clearance Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship.
- An Active Secret Security Clearance.
Travel Requirements
- Must be able to travel 4 to 5 days per month.
Physical Requirements
Work is performed in an office environment; prolonged sitting while using the computer and telephone; constant use of sight, hearing, and vision abilities for communication and documentation review.
