Ethan Babb Law Firm is a rapidly growing litigation firm dedicated to protecting consumers against unlawful business practices. We represent clients in federal and state courts in matters involving the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act (FCCPA), and other consumer protection litigation.
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal with federal court litigation experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, and enjoys being part of a collaborative legal team.
Responsibilities
- Manage litigation files from filing through resolution
- Draft, review, and file pleadings in federal and state courts
- Prepare summonses, civil cover sheets, notices, and other court filings
- Electronically file documents using CM/ECF and Florida e-Filing Portal
- Calculate and monitor court deadlines
- Coordinate service of process and monitor returns of service
- Draft and respond to discovery requests
- Organize exhibits and litigation documents
- Prepare attorneys for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials
- Schedule depositions, hearings, mediations, and client meetings
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Maintain accurate case files in Clio and Monday.com
- Assist with settlement documentation and closing files
- Perform legal research as requested
- Ensure compliance with all federal and local court rules
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 2 years of litigation paralegal experience
- Experience handling cases in U.S. District Court
- Experience with CM/ECF electronic filing
- Knowledge of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- High attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- In Office Position
Preferred
- Florida litigation experience
- Consumer protection litigation experience (FCRA, FDCPA, TCPA, FCCPA)
- Experience using Clio, Monday.com, Adobe Acrobat, or similar case management software
- Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP) certification or Paralegal Certificate
