Maintenance Specialist

Position Summary:
Fabricates, installs, maintains and repairs facility structures and equipment to ensure the safety and efficiency required to operate the Orleans Facility

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate, weld, install and/or repair all equipment and facility infrastructures as assigned (work as a Machinist, Mechanic, Fabricator).
• Assist with minor installation or repair of electrical systems and performs carpentry and plumbing.
• Assist with repairs and maintenance of company vehicles and equipment including but not limited to bobcat, scissor lift and genie broom, forklifts, backhoe, dump truck installs and test new equipment and systems and repairs or maintains older existing systems.
• Responsible for general maintenance of boiler room and warehouse equipment.
• Performs assigned inspections and tests of facility following company guidelines and policies.
• Must work overtime as needed for any unexpected deadlines.
• May handle caustic substances and/or hazardous material to and from plant.
• Notifies supervisors of any quality and or safety issues.
• Detects faulty materials/process and notifies supervisor.
• Follows Prescribed safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• High school Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum three(3) years of experience with fabricating and maintenance/mechanical support of a warehouse facility
• Must have color vision to work with colored wiring and identify wiring by sight
• Team player and able to work well with others
• Good critical thinking skills and ability to trouble shoot mechanical problems and determine best practices of repairing the issue/s
• Strong mechanical skills and experience with an array of tools and diagnostic devises to perform installation and repair of equipment and facility structures
• Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Must be able to routinely stand, walk, bend, reach and push and pull and lift 70 pounds
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Compensation
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $16.00 to $19.00, depending on experience.
