Quality Inspector Responsibilities
- Perform inspections on materials and components according to quality standards
- Use precision measuring tools and gauges to verify product specifications
- Conduct first article inspections and document findings accurately
- Identify and manage non-conforming materials, including documentation and quarantine procedures
- Record inspection data in ERP systems (SAP or similar) and maintain accurate quality reports
- Communicate quality issues and inspection results across departments
- Support engineering and production teams with inspection findings and process improvements
- Maintain calibration records for inspection equipment
- Assist with overall quality initiatives and ensure compliance with company procedures
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality inspection or manufacturing quality roles required
- Strong experience with inspection and first article processes
- Proficiency using measurement tools, including calipers, gauges, and CMM (preferred)
- Familiarity with MRB processes and handling non-conforming materials
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Knowledge of warehouse or inventory systems is a plus
- Technical degree (A.S. or similar) preferred
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
