Overview:
We are a small business online bookstore spreading the joy of reading through our subscription and one-time sales of books. We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate is able to move and lift heavy boxes (50 lbs) as well as efficiently and accurately pack boxes to be shipped out. No prior experience is neccessary and full training will be provided.
Note that this is an hourly position.
Schedule: Typical hours include working between hours of 8am-5pm for acceptance of deliveries, but is usually very flexible for hours of packing. This is a full-time position with a 40 hr work week. Anticipated start date is ASAP. Must be 18 to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for general duties involving physical handling of product, materials, supplies and equipment
- Maintain orderly and clean work area in compliance with company safety
- Operate moving equipment
- Restock and replenish as appropriate
- Perform general maintenance
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures
- Periodic bending, kneeling, lifting of 50 pounds
Skills:
- Understand shipping labels and product SKUs.
- Familiarity with proper packaging methods and the ability to interpret visual aids for specific packaging requirements.
- Knowledge of common material handling equipment.
- Able to work effectively both independently (self-motivated) and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer usage
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
