Job Description:
Requirements:
• Extensive experience implementing and managing BI platforms for business intelligence, data applications, and embedded analytics.
• 10 years of experience managing BI platforms including Power BI, Looker, and Amazon QuickSight.
• Experience designing and delivering complex platform architectures.
• Extensive experience with Python programming, Shell Scripting, and PowerShell scripting.
• Experience identifying and implementing automation solutions using scripting.
• Experience working with product APIs to automate administrative functions.
• Extensive knowledge and experience setting up security using Active Directory, Azure AD, and PingFederate.
• Experience configuring OAuth and SAML for Single Sign-On (SSO) implementations.
• Experience defining SDLC processes and CI/CD processes using Jenkins.
• Experience integrating Looker with Git repositories for code commits.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with platform governance and resiliency.
Power BI Administration & Architecture:
• Power BI Service architecture design and administration, including:
- Azure and Power BI Administration
- Power BI Premium Capacity Administration
- Extensive knowledge of Power BI Premium Service
- Troubleshooting and identifying automation opportunities to streamline daily platform operations
• Experience with Looker setup and administration.
• Architect and develop data models, ETL packages, and reports utilizing Power BI while applying development lifecycle best practices.
• Data modeling experience using the Kimball Method.
• Experience with multiple database platforms such as:
- Snowflake
- Oracle
- DB2
- SQL Server
Technical Knowledge:
• Understanding of external components required for successful BI tool connectivity, including:
- Network
- Firewall
- Proxy
• Experience integrating Power BI with various tools, including but not limited to:
- Splunk
- Collibra
- ServiceNow
• Understanding prerequisites for successful connection setup.
• Strong ability to quickly propose solutions by leveraging:
- MVP and Product Team articles
- Vendor documentation
- Whitepapers
- Community publications
