Quality Technician

Job Title: Accessories Final Quality Inspection (AFQI) Technician II

Primary Function:

The AFQI Technician II provides quality assurance support by performing visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of purchased assemblies and products. This role ensures that incoming materials meet quality standards and specifications prior to release to finished goods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform incoming material inspections in a timely manner, including First Article inspections on manuals.
• Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of purchased assemblies and products according to Quality Assurance Procedures (QAP) and specifications.
• Create and maintain inspection history files in SAP.
• Accurately document observations of non-conformances in Device History Records.
• Maintain traceability of component materials and ensure proper handling to prevent damage or mix-ups.
• Log and track materials through SAP and Neptune platforms from receiving to stock locations.
• Communicate inspection results to Quality Engineering, Supplier Engineering, and other relevant teams.
• Ensure accurate identification and count of materials throughout the inspection process.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in using inspection tools, including microscopes, micrometers, calipers, gauges, inspection fixtures, and other test equipment.
• Proficient with personal computers and software, including Microsoft Office, SAP, and ACCS (Agile) systems for retrieving and submitting documentation.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Strong organizational skills with a neat and orderly workstation.
• Excellent attendance and reliability.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma required; A.S. in Engineering preferred.
• 1–3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
