Pay Range: $(63.00 - 70.00)/hr on W2 all-inclusive without benefits
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Cisco networking technologies to design, implement, support, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in routing, switching, network security, wireless networking, and troubleshooting complex network environments while ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, configure, and maintain enterprise Cisco network infrastructure.
- Install and support Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless solutions.
- Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, including VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.
- Manage Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, ISR, ASR, and Meraki devices.
- Implement and maintain network security using Cisco ASA, Firepower, VPN, ACLs, and network segmentation.
- Configure and support Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC) and Cisco Access Points.
- Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity using network monitoring tools.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve network incidents, outages, and performance issues.
- Support LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, MPLS, Internet, and VPN connectivity.
- Collaborate with security, cloud, server, and infrastructure teams during deployments and migrations.
- Create and maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, SOPs, and change records.
- Participate in network upgrades, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity initiatives.
- Provide Level 2/Level 3 technical support and participate in on-call rotation when required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of experience supporting enterprise Cisco network infrastructure.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Cisco Routers and Switches (Catalyst, Nexus, ISR, ASR)
- Cisco IOS/NX-OS
- Cisco Meraki
- Cisco ASA / Firepower
- Cisco Wireless (WLC, Access Points)
- Strong knowledge of:
- TCP/IP
- DNS, DHCP
- VLANs
- STP, VTP
- OSPF, EIGRP, BGP
- HSRP/VRRP
- NAT, ACLs
- VPN (IPSec/SSL)
- Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Cisco DNA Center, or ThousandEyes.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for LAN/WAN, wireless, routing, and switching issues.
- Experience with configuration backups, firmware upgrades, and network maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
- Experience with Cisco SD-WAN, Cisco ACI, Cisco ISE, or Cisco DNA Center.
- Experience supporting Azure or AWS networking.
- Knowledge of network automation using Python, Ansible, or REST APIs.
- Experience with Palo Alto or Fortinet firewalls.
- Familiarity with VMware or Hyper-V networking.
- ITIL knowledge and experience working in Agile environments.
Salary : $63 - $70
