Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician
Duration: 12 months
Location: Jackson, MI
Pay range: 20/hr. - 22.00 /hr.
Schedule :
- During training, your training schedule will be first shift, 6:00am to 2:30pm.
- Once your training is complete, you will work second shift which is 2:00pm to 10:30pm.
EDUCATION:
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in maintenance field is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and fabrication is preferred.
• Ability to work with hand tools and power tools is required.
• Willingness to learn and perform pipefitting and welding is required.
• Basic understanding of HVAC, plumbing, metal fabrication, and electrical is preferred.
• Ability to work first shift (6:00am to 2:30pm) and second shift (2:00pm to 10:30pm).
• Ability to work weekends and overtime is required.
Responsibilities:
During your shift as a Maintenance Mechanic IV (ECT-Chemetall), you will:
• Understanding and complying with facility safety rules and regulations.
• Being able to work in a chemical hazardous area with appropriate PPE.
• Installing, maintaining and repairing industrial equipment which include Liquid pumps, Centrifugal, Gears, Air Motors, Valves, Actuators, Conveyors, and other building utilities. (HVAC, boilers, air compressors, etc.)
• Taking idea and creating fabricated equipment. With or without provided drawing (Metal welding, Tig, Mig, Stick, Metal cutting, Plasma, angle grinder).
• Inspecting machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual inspections, listening for irregular noises and conducting scheduled testing as appropriate.
• Identifying and responding to signs of malfunction in machinery and perform troubleshooting for production machinery.
• Scheduling and performing routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment.
• Performing emergency repairs on various types of machinery, including mechanical, electric and hydraulic.
• Maintaining machinery and the adjacent workplace in a state of appropriate cleanliness; create and maintain a schedule for inspection, service and testing of machinery.
• Complying with work orders concerning service, modification or installation of machinery.
