Contract Manager | Vacaville, CA, 95688 | 6 Month Contract (Contract-to-Hire)
We are looking for an experienced Contract Manager to join a major capital engineering project in Vacaville, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercial professional with strong expertise in contract management, claims, change orders, commercial negotiations, and EPC/EPCM project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead contract execution and ensure contractual rights and obligations are effectively managed.
- Manage contract changes, variations, claims, and dispute resolution.
- Support commercial negotiations with suppliers and contractors.
- Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with Project Management, Procurement, Legal, Finance, and other cross-functional teams.
- Monitor supplier performance, contract compliance, warranties, and commercial deliverables.
- Support procurement strategy, contract reviews, and commercial audits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Commercial Management, Engineering, or a related field (Master's/MBA preferred).
- 10 years of experience in contract/commercial management on large capital or engineering projects.
- Strong background in contract negotiations, claims management, change orders, and commercial risk.
- Experience working with EPC, EPCM, or EPCMV contractors.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience in regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food, or life sciences is highly preferred.
