IMPORTANT!!! ----- If hired, you must be available for a required paid training session on Friday, October 23rd.
Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our On-Call Snow Removal Sidewalk Crews. This position is essential for maintaining safe and accessible walkways during winter weather conditions. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for snow removal and ensuring that sidewalks are clear for pedestrians. This role requires flexibility and readiness to respond to snow events as they occur.
What You’ll Do
- Take direction from the Area Manager/Crew Lead
- Shovel and apply ice melt to sidewalks and walkways
- Work on call during snow events — Mother Nature sets the schedule
- Team up with our plow and deicing crews to knock out routes efficiently
- Help keep properties safe, accessible, and slip-free
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for snow removal tasks.
- Maintain clear communication with team members regarding work progress and any issues encountered.
- Adhere to safety protocols while performing all duties.
- Treat company property and equipment with respect.
We’re Looking For
- Reliable people willing to show up when it snows
- Able to lift a shovel, spread salt, and keep a good attitude in winter weather
- Comfortable working early mornings, late nights, or weekends, depending on snow

- Position: On-Call Snow Removal – Sidewalk Crew
- Location: Ankeny & DSM Metro
- Pay: $25/hour
- Schedule: Snow-dependent
- Growth: Strong performers will be considered first for spring hiring on our full-time seasonal crews
