We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant with strong analytical skills and solid experience in financial accounting. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of accounting experience, experience supporting financial audits, and the ability to collaborate effectively. Senior Accountant – Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant with strong analytical skills and solid experience in financial accounting. This role will support the month-end close process, balance sheet reconciliations, financial analysis, and accounting system testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Prepare and post journal entries in the ERP system (Sage 100).
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Perform financial analysis and investigate variances or discrepancies.
- Assist with internal and external financial audits, including preparing supporting documentation and schedules.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for accounting and financial systems.
- Perform Zuora testing by following test scripts to validate billing and financial data accuracy.
- Collaborate with U.S.-based finance teams and cross-functional departments to resolve accounting issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation of accounting processes, reconciliations, and testing results.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5 years of accounting experience.
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close processes.
- Experience supporting financial audits.
- Experience using ERP systems, preferably Sage 100.
- Exposure to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and system implementations is a plus.
- Familiarity with Zuora or subscription billing platforms is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with international teams, including U.S. stakeholders.
- Experience with process improvements or system implementations.
- Knowledge of revenue recognition or subscription billing environments.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
