Pricing analysts will use market trends, historical sales data, and current market conditions to price event ticket inventory and maximize revenue optimally.
Applicants must have strong mental math skills and excellent interpersonal communication skills to manage large amounts of ticket inventory while effectively communicating their strategies.
As a pricing analyst, you will be responsible for managing and pricing large amounts of premium event ticket inventory across the sports, concert, and theater genres.
- Examine historical sales data in conjunction with real-time market prices to determine demand-supply dynamics on company-owned inventory
- Utilize cost-benefit analysis to achieve optimal price efficiency
- Use proprietary software pricing tools to create strategies to price tickets in real time, optimally
- Use statistical analysis of past sales data, current market conditions, and market/sports trends to make decisions on future inventory acquisition strategies
- Devise and execute pricing strategies to increase profitability throughout the inventory life cycle
- Create weekly reports with comprehensive price analysis at the individual event level
- Become a subject matter expert and act as an adviser to purchasing analysts to expand and optimize future purchases.
- Knowledge of trading, poker, sports betting, or advantage gambling is a plus.
- Understanding of game theory is a plus
