What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server/bartender position at Et Voilà! French Bistro?
Our owner-operated, award-winning French bistro is seeking an experienced Fine Dining Server with bartending experience to join our exceptional team.
This position includes 2 bartending shifts and 2 to 3 serving shifts per week. We are looking for someone with a strong background in fine dining, a passion for French cuisine and wine, and the ability to deliver polished, attentive service both behind the bar and on the dining room floor.
Responsibilities:
Welcome guests with charm and professionalism, setting the tone for an elegant dining experience.
Provide knowledgeable recommendations on our French menu and extensive wine list, including ingredients, dishes, cocktails, and wine pairings.
Deliver personalized and attentive service, anticipating guests’ needs throughout their dining experience.
Bartend in a high-volume bar environment while maintaining excellent service, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Prepare cocktails, wine, beer, and other beverages efficiently and consistently.
Collaborate with the kitchen, bar, and service teams to ensure timely and seamless service.
Stay well-versed in the menu, including seasonal specials, chef’s features, cocktails, and wine selections.
Handle guest inquiries and requests with grace, ensuring every dining experience is memorable.
Maintain the high standards of French dining etiquette, fine dining service, and professional bar service.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a fine dining setting.
Strong bartending experience, including the ability to work a busy, high-volume bar while maintaining perfect service.
Strong knowledge of French food and wine, with the ability to recommend pairings confidently.
Cocktail, beer, spirits, and wine knowledge.
Exceptional communication skills and a genuine passion for hospitality.
Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining professionalism, composure, and attention to detail.
Availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
A polished, professional demeanor.
