A Massage Therapist provides professional therapeutic massage services to clients to promote relaxation, relieve pain, reduce stress, improve circulation, and support overall wellness. The therapist assesses clients’ needs, recommends appropriate treatment techniques, and maintains a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, and therapeutic massage.
- Assess clients’ health history and treatment goals before each session.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on clients’ needs.
- Maintain accurate client records and treatment notes.
- Ensure treatment rooms, equipment, and linens are clean, sanitized, and well-stocked.
- Educate clients on stretching, posture, relaxation techniques, and self-care practices.
- Maintain client confidentiality and uphold professional ethics.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Promote spa or clinic services and recommend wellness products when appropriate.
- Schedule appointments and manage client bookings as required.
Qualifications:
- Valid Massage Therapy license or certification (as required by local regulations).
- Completion of an accredited massage therapy program.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and massage techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Physical stamina to perform multiple massage sessions daily.
