What you'll do
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, and haul trucks with precision and skill.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate site activities and maintain a productive workflow.
- Transport materials using haul truck, ensuring safe loading and unloading practices.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to create a secure work environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Assist with general labor tasks as needed, including site preparation, cleanup, and material handling.
Basic qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment in a construction setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) for operating tri-axle dump trucks is a benefit but not required..
- Familiarity with Caterpillar machinery and other industry-standard equipment.
Preferred qualifications
- At least two years excavating experience
- Valid drivers license
- Knowledge of safety regulations specific to construction sites.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
