JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE: Custodian/Maintenance (12 month)

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Ability to clean and maintain rooms and areas used by the staff, students and public
2. Ability to carry out tasks assigned by supervisor
3. Ability to work independently
4. Ability to be a good example to students and to "get along" with staff,
coworkers and parents to ensure good community public relations
5. Maintain health and physical status including hearing and vision
6. Must be able to deadlift 60 pounds. Team lift 85-100 pounds
7. At least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED

REPORTS TO: Superintendent of Schools, Building Principal and Director of Operations & Transportation.

JOB GOAL: The custodian is responsible for maintenance, proper cleaning and upkeep as assigned by his/her supervisor to ensure the safety, health and comfort of all persons who use the school building

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintains and cleans specific rooms daily for health, safety, and comfort
2. Assists all staff and students in any way possible to meet their goals
3. Courteously assists all community people who use the school building
4. Assists in complete cleaning of the building during the summer months
5. Enforces school policies and procedures related to use of facilities so that the investment of the community is protected
6. Assures the security of district property and facilities
7. Other related duties and work as assigned
8. Ability to adapt to changing work schedules and duties, occasional weekends
9. Ability to learn new skills as needed

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 months
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the policies of the Estes Park School District R-3

Estes Park School District R-3 is accepting applications for one full-time, year-round CUSTODIAL position. Salary range is $18.66 to $21.12 per hour, with single benefits. The successful candidate must be able to pass a drug test, background check, and physical demands/lift test.
