ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Safely transport sheet metal products to and from specified locations around the Indianapolis area
- Efficiently plan routes to help meet delivery schedules
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Secure product and properly arrange and balance it within the truck to prevent damage
- Assist in the loading and unloading of goods, using hand trucks and forklifts as required
- Obtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveries with clients
- Interact with customers and vendors in a professional manner and maintain a positive attitude
- Refuel and clean box truck as needed
- Obey and follow applicable traffic laws making safety a priority at all times
- Notifying management of any accidents, parking tickets, vehicle damage, and major maintenance issues
- Follow written or oral instructions regarding daily tasks and job duties
- Maintain professional appearance and demeanor
- Perform other duties as required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proven work experience as a truck driver
- Current commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred. Indiana For-Hire Endorsement is a minimum qualification.
- Skilled at driving and parking large, heavy vehicles
- Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize responsibilities
- Highly motivated and focused; a self-starter who works well independently
- Alert, focused and detail-oriented
- High level of composure and good stress management abilities
- Ability to use reason to solve problems as they arise
- Technical competence and adequate computer skills
Salary : $18 - $24
