Software Engineering Team Lead (Remote)

Estenda is a digital health software development, data, and AI consulting company. Projects include web and API development, mobile, data integration, big data solutions, AI, strategy engagements, and operations. We focus on full project implementation and don’t do individual placements at a company site. We are 100% remote.

Due to expanding and new project work, we are looking for an exceptional Software Engineering Team Lead with iOS Mobile App development and Azure cloud experience to join our growing team. The ability to design, develop and deploy applications in the Azure cloud is required. Work on software that matters. Make a difference in the lives of your fellow humans.

Engineering Team Lead

As a team lead at Estenda, you will be the primary contact for project stakeholders. You will provide leadership, hands-on technical expertise, and domain knowledge, as well as mentoring, to the project team. Coordinate with developers, project managers, and QA team members to foster understanding and cross-team cooperation. Gather requirements and have direct input in the design of the applications. Help ensure a well-architected system is designed, developed, and deployed.

What You’ll Do

• Play a lead role in the design and development of new innovative digital health solutions
• Develop an understanding of the science and users to develop the appropriate solution
• Design and implement technical solutions with a secure cloud-first approach
• Lead internal and client team meetings to refine requirements, ensure good design principles are applied, and the right product is delivered on time with a high degree of quality
  
  
  
  
  

What You Need

• 4-year college degree in a technical field - preferably Computer Science
• 5 years of experience with IOS mobile development
• 5 years of experience as a full-stack software developer with web technologies
• Experience with Azure and .NET/C#, certification preferred
• Strong technical skills – proven ability to navigate/understand/use APIs, query databases, and solve problems
• Passion for learning with an ability to quickly design/develop solutions
• Ability to empathize - you need to understand the user to be effective
• Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, presentation
• Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage your time and get stuff done without sacrificing quality
• The ability to go with the flow and understand change is a constant
  
  
  
  
  

Technical Skills

• iOS Mobile Development
• .NET/C#
• React or React Native
• Ability to develop and deploy small to mid-sized cloud-based systems (Azure Required)
• Ability to design and implement cloud networking and security
• Experience with SQL Database design and queries
• Ability to use GIT-based source code repositories efficiently and confidently
• Excellent PC skills including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
• Experience in agile methodologies and use of JIRA
• Nice to Have
• SMART on FHIR integration experience

• Background in healthcare, medtech, or pharmaceutical industry
• Experience using an ISO 9001/13485 certified or similar quality program
