Duties
- Set-up, operate, and monitor wood planers, ensuring quality control throughout the production process
- Assist in the setup and calibration of planers and other equipment using a variety of measuring tools and techniques.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including power tools and hand tools
- Collaborate with experienced operators to learn best practices in maintaining and operating equipment.
- Follow safety protocols while operating any piece of machinery or equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and machining techniques
- Mechanical aptitude and basic maintenance skills
- Experience with carpentry or construction is advantageous
- Ability to operate forklifts.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools effectively
- Prior experience in operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment is beneficial but not mandatory
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
