eStem's Speech-Language Pathologists are responsible for supporting students’ communication development by providing assessment, intervention, and consultation services related to speech, language, voice, fluency, and social communication needs. This role collaborates with teachers, families, administrators, and special education staff to develop and implement individualized services that support students’ academic achievement, functional communication, and social-emotional growth. The Speech-Language Pathologist uses evidence-based practices, progress monitoring, and data-driven decision-making to deliver effective therapy services and ensure compliance with special education requirements and timelines. This position also supports inclusive educational environments by providing strategies, resources, and interventions that help students access instruction and participate successfully in the school setting.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations for students referred for services
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapy goals
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to educational planning
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, psychologists, occupational therapists, and parents
- Screen students for speech and language concerns
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy strategies as needed
- Provide classroom-based interventions and consultative services
- Educate families and school staff regarding communication disorders and intervention techniques
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
