Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Agronomy Operations (to include) Sales professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Fertilizer Operations, Chemical Operations, and driving sales growth through effective account management and engaging with clients in crop nutrients, chemical, seed and service needs. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge and sales expertise to effectively communicate our product offerings and meet customer needs. This role will also assist in procurement of Agronomy related products.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through making farm visits and helping producers do crop input planning and professional advice on their agronomy needs.
- Conduct cold calling to generate new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
- Work with management on pricing and programs for seed, fertilizer and chemical.
- Help promote new products to customers and help train current employees
- Provide technical sales support by understanding product specifications and demonstrating features to clients.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
- Handle receipt of Fertilizer, Seed, Chemical, Crop Nutrient Products.
- Agronomy Inventory management.
- Blend and Load Fertilizer based on the customer's needs.
- Handling the operations side of the Agronomy department is primary, sales is secondary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills
- Degree in Agronomy or agriculture related field and equivalent experience preferred but not required.
- Strong skills in sales management, account management, self-sufficient and highly motivated.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer engagement.
- Willingness to help other employees and customers.
- Ability to organize schedule for more efficient work
- 18 years of age or older
- CDL preferred but not required.
