Maintenance Technician – High-End Residential Community | Columbia, SC

Are you a proactive, customer-focused professional with a passion for property maintenance and high standards of service? We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team, supporting luxury residential communities in the Columbia area. Estates is seeking an individual who prides themselves on a job well done and a willingness to learn.

 

This role is ideal for someone with a positive attitude and a hands-on approach to achieving daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance goals in a high-end living environment.

 

Position Summary:

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the functionality, safety, and aesthetics of our apartment homes and property facilities. You will play a key role in maintaining the overall resident experience through timely repairs and preventative maintenance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare apartment homes for new residents, including general repairs and inspections.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with:
  • HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning)
  • Electrical systems, appliances, outlets, and fixtures
  • Plumbing systems and fixtures
  • Carpentry and lock repairs
  • Complete and document work orders with professionalism and accuracy.
  • Follow a planned preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Provide follow-up service to ensure resident satisfaction after repairs.

 

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in multifamily property maintenance or similar mechanical repair roles
  • HVAC experience required
  • EPA Type I and II certification preferred
  • Valid driver’s license from the state of residence
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across multiple trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.)
