Operational Field Engineer – Senior
Overview
The Senior Field Engineer Level 2/3 is a site-based technical specialist providing hands-on support for IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments across multiple locations in the US and Occasional International location. This role focuses on delivering reliable IT/OT services, supporting field operations, and translating business needs into effective technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Resolve IT and OT incidents and service requests, escalating only when necessary
- Install, configure, and support servers, desktops, network equipment, telephony, and OT devices
- Support employee onboarding, including hardware, software, and access provisioning
- Maintain IT/OT asset inventories, documentation, and configuration records
- Monitor infrastructure performance and proactively identify improvements
- Deploy and support OT systems including industrial PCs, telemetry, sensors, and OT networks
- Ensure secure, standardized IT and OT environments aligned with enterprise standards
- Collaborate with site teams and project stakeholders to deliver effective technology solutions
- Support compliance with security and regulatory requirements (SOX, GDPR, etc.)
- Drive continuous improvement across IT and OT service delivery
Qualifications
Experience
- 4 years in customer-facing IT/OT support roles
- Hands-on experience in field or industrial environments
- Experience supporting remote or distributed users
Technical Skills
- Microsoft technologies: Office 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, Hyper-V, PowerShell
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of OT networking and industrial IT systems
- Familiarity with ITIL and security frameworks (ISO, NIST)
- SCADA experience is a plus

Working Conditions
