About the Role

We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our assembly team. In this role, you will build and test electro-mechanical systems and subassemblies that directly contribute to the quality and function of our finished products. This is an excellent opportunity to develop hands-on technical skills in a structured, supportive environment where precision and craftsmanship are valued. Day shift position: consistent Monday-Friday 8-5 schedule with no rotating shifts required

Position Overview

Under general supervision, assemble structural, electrical, and mechanical components into subassemblies of complex finished units, adhering to accuracy standards and established production timelines. Operate and test systems and subsystems to verify performance meets quality standards. Identify and troubleshoot failures during testing, and with supervision, take corrective action or escalate issues to senior technicians or supervisors as appropriate.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Align, fit, and assemble components using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and templates; build and install subassemblies into finished units ensuring end-product meets established quality guidelines
  • Visually inspect and, where required, accurately measure assemblies and parts to verify clearances, alignments, and installation sequences are within established parameters
  • Over time, learn to test and calibrate electro-mechanical systems and subassemblies using standard and specialized test equipment including voltmeters, pressure gauges, sensors, and proprietary testing instruments
  • With supervision, troubleshoot failed components or systems; perform repairs and/or replace parts as necessary to resolve issues
  • Provide support to the Repair/Service Department as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic math skills
  • Demonstrated electro-mechanical interest and aptitude
  • Good hand/eye coordination; ability to work with small or fine assembly components
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Familiarity with computer hardware and software
  • Ability to learn to read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, Bills of Materials, and/or technical drawings to determine assembly methods and sequences
  • Basic knowledge of electronic/mechanical assemblies and wiring techniques
  • Ability to follow specific and detailed instructions
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Proficient soldering skills
  • Proficient wiring experience
  • Strong sense of accountability
  • Proficient with hand tools including drills, wrenches, multimeters, etc.
  • Working knowledge of epoxy-based adhesive products
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One-year technical degree or certificate in electronics, mechanical technology, or a related field
  • Or 2 years of electronic/mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with IPC 610 standards for electronic assembly quality assurance
