We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tanker trucks, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. This role involves delivering freight efficiently across designated routes while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Candidates should have experience in commercial driving and possess a strong understanding of load & unload procedures, route driving, and vehicle maintenance. A valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with relevant endorsements is required. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a variety of trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
- Load and unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules and optimize fuel efficiency.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation in accordance with company policies.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local transportation laws and regulations.
- Assist with securing cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues on the road.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Experience
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver experience with freight handling.
- Familiarity with manual transmission trucks is preferred.
- Experience operating specialized vehicles such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tanker trucks, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is a plus.
- Knowledge of route driving across various terrains and urban areas.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other loading equipment is advantageous.
- Prior experience with freight load & unload operations is desirable.
- Valid CDL license with relevant endorsements required; experience with tractor-trailer operations strongly preferred. This role requires a dedicated professional committed to safety and efficiency on the road while providing excellent service to clients.
