Shipping/Receiving

Job Purpose

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our team as Shipping/Receiving. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure accurate and efficient receiving/picking, and packing of products to our customers. The Shipping/Receiving role plays a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of quality and reliability in product delivery.

Primary Work Activities

• Receiving:
• Unpacking/Receiving into ERP systems all incoming PO’s/SRO’s/RMA’s.
• Bagging incoming parts
• Labeling incoming parts
• Stock parts for FIFO consumption.
• Double Checking:
• Ensure that the correct quantity and type of product is bagged for each CO/SRO
• Quality Assurance:
• Conduct visual inspections of products prior to packing to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Report any discrepancies or defects to the appropriate personnel.
• Packaging:
• Pack items securely and appropriately for shipping, taking into account factors such as fragility and size.
• Use packing materials efficiently to minimize waste and prevent damage during transit.
• Documentation:
• Ensure that all paperwork is complete and accurate.
• Scan documentation into Infor.
• Inventory Management:
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by performing regular cycle counts and inventory audits.
• Communicate any inventory discrepancies or shortages to Inventory Coordinator.
• Workspace Organization:
• Keep the warehouse and packing area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Team Collaboration:
• Collaborate effectively with other members of the warehouse and shipping team to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Communicate any issues or concerns that may impact workflow or customer satisfaction.
  

Essential Job Competencies

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in warehouse operations, picking, packing, or shipping preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work performance.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  
  

Working Conditions

• This position primarily operates in a warehouse environment.
• May be exposed to varying temperatures, loud noises, and other typical warehouse conditions.
• Requires the ability to lift and move heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
