What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Engineer position at EST Analytical?
EST Analytical is looking to fill a Field Service Engineer position with a focus on Agilent Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) instrumentation. The position will be based at a customer site in Rahway, NJ with the possibility of some travel (< 15%) to other customer locations in the NJ/NY/DE/PA area.
EST Analytical is a partner with Agilent Technologies, and as such, the Field Service Engineer would work within the Agilent Authorized Service Provider (ASP) program.
Key responsibilities include on-site installation, customer training, repair and troubleshooting of hardware, and routine preventative maintenance and qualification services. The job focus will be on customer satisfaction by providing customers with high-quality services. Additional responsibilities include managing parts, timely submission of service reports, providing feedback to manufacturing divisions, collaborating with the sales team, and maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge of assigned products.
Field Service Engineer Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of analytical laboratory experience with a focus on HPLC Instrumentation
- Experience with Agilent HPLC instrumentation is desired for this position
- BS in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, etc. or Electronics or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong planning, problem solving, and communication skills to function with minimal supervision
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to travel to Wilmington, Delaware for 1-2 weeks every few months for training during the first year and a half of employment
