Key Responsibilities:
- To select proper hand tool combinations to achieve bend radii called out on customer or Essner Manufacturing supplied Mylar’s, prints, or shop aides.
- To form parts according to customer or Essner Manufacturing supplied Mylar’s, prints, or shop aides.
- To check work to customer or Essner Manufacturing supplied Mylar’s, prints, or shop aides to ensure all products meet all customer specs and requirements.
- To straighten parts using hand tools provided.
- To check work to customer or Essner Manufacturing supplied Mylar’s, prints, or shop aides to ensure all products meet all customer specs and requirements.
- Measures straightened workpiece for conformance with specifications, using straightedge, micrometers, and calipers.
- Must have first piece verified by quality
Essential Duties:

Straightens metal workpieces to blueprint specifications, using hand tools and knowledge of metal properties:
- Rolls workpiece on flat surface or mounts and rotates it between centers to ascertain irregularities visually or with dial indicator.
- Ability to use a wide variety of basic hand finish tools and equipment.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and instructions.
- Frequently perform work and inspection of precision parts.
- Perform rework assignments as required
- Ensure all parts paperwork and documentation is completed properly
- Enter all data as required
- Inspect finished work to required specification
Basic Qualification:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Knowledge of Mylar and blue print reading
- Basic knowledge of calipers and other checking equipment
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
- Three (3) years of experience Straightening and/or Fabricating
Preferred Qualifications:
- ERP/ MRP experience w/ Epicor
- Five (5) years of experience Straightening and/or Fabricating in Aerospace industry
- Strong Knowledge of Mylar and blue print reading
- Strong knowledge of calipers and other checking equipment
