About The Role
As a Billing Follow‑Up Representative, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate reimbursement, maintaining healthy accounts receivable, and supporting the financial strength of our organization. This position is ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, proactive, and motivated by problem‑solving within the medical billing cycle.
In this role, you will manage outstanding medical claims, conduct timely follow‑up with payers, resolve denials, and collaborate closely with internal teams to drive billing accuracy and efficiency. You will contribute directly to improving clean claim rates, reducing reimbursement delays, and supporting overall revenue cycle excellence.
The ideal candidate should/could live in Tulsa, OK.

What You Will Do
- Monitor and manage outstanding accounts receivable to ensure timely follow‑up on unpaid or underpaid claims.
- Contact insurance companies and third‑party payers to obtain claim status and information needed for resolution.
- Investigate, correct, and resolve denials or rejections by preparing and submitting corrected claims or appeals.
- Document all follow‑up activity accurately within the billing system.
- Identify patterns in denials or processing delays and escalate issues to leadership.
- Partner with billing, coding, and reimbursement teams to ensure compliance with payer requirements.
- Support clean‑claim initiatives and contribute to continuous process improvements.
- Maintain adherence to HIPAA guidelines and internal policies.
- You have a high school diploma or equivalent; additional healthcare or billing education is a plus.
- You bring experience in medical billing, claims follow‑up, or healthcare accounts receivable (preferred).
- You understand insurance plans, reimbursement processes, and claim forms (UB‑04/HCFA‑1500).
- You communicate clearly and professionally with both payers and internal stakeholders.
- You excel in organization, attention to detail, and managing multiple priorities.
- You are comfortable navigating billing systems, EMR/EHR platforms, and Microsoft Office tools.
- You thrive in a fast‑paced environment and enjoy solving problems with a proactive mindset.
