Role Description The Field Service Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Harrisburg, SD, responsible for overseeing day-to-day IT field service operations and technician performance. This position coordinates and schedules field service activities, ensures adherence to SLAs, and monitors service quality and safety standards. The role involves collaborating with logistics, help desk, and project teams to support deployments, installations, and ongoing maintenance at customer sites. The Field Service Manager tracks key performance metrics, resolves escalated service issues, and provides coaching, training, and feedback to team members. This role also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, supports rollout leadership, and maintains strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Experience managing IT field service teams, coordinating schedules, and overseeing multi-site service delivery.
- Knowledge of IT hardware deployment, installations, and basic troubleshooting in enterprise environments.
- Ability to interpret and manage SLAs, monitor performance metrics, and drive service quality improvements.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills to support rollouts, logistics, and on-site activities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with technicians, customers, and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with service management or ticketing systems and standard office productivity tools.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage escalations under time constraints.
- Prior experience in IT services, managed services, or operations management is highly beneficial.
- High school diploma required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., IT, business, operations) is preferred.
