GENERAL FUNCTION
The Distribution Clerk processes merchandise as it is received by the Distribution Center.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Unloads semi-trucks, package trucks (UPS, Federal Express).
- Signs for, counts, and inspects delivered product.
- Sorts and directs packages to processing area.
- Processes received product for put away.
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of product received.
- Responsible for any additional duties assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent mathematical aptitude/numerical recognition
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Use of ten-key calculator
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as requested by Supervisor and Manager
- Ability to lift/carry up to 40-60 lbs.
- Ability to work in a standing/walking position for up to 10 hours
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience in a Receiving department
- High School Diploma or GED
