HR/Payroll Assistant (Temporary Position)
At Essick Air Products we’re looking for a detail-oriented HR/Payroll Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis. This role is a great fit for someone with strong administrative skills who enjoys supporting employees and keeping HR/Payroll operations running smoothly. This position assists employees and managers with payroll information and benefits. Other responsibilities include keying, reviewing, correcting, and updating entries to the automated payroll system. In addition, reviews time-keeping exceptions and keys adjustments. Provides a high level of customer service.
What You'll Do:
- Serve as a front-line resource for HR department calls and employee questions on payroll, benefits (401k, HSA), and time off
- Manage records in ADP and Leave Management systems, including data entry and updates to employee information
- Handle employment verifications, tax form changes, and general HR paperwork
- Support benefits administration, attendance tracking, and accrual balance inquiries
- Assist with insurance claims resolution, liaising with insurance agents as needed
- Coordinate employee rewards, events, and supply orders for the HR/Payroll team
- Manage employee badges and process temp agency hours
- Provide general administrative support, including filing, scanning, and document printing
- Other duties as assigned
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 2 years of HR/Payroll experience; ADP experience preferred
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams)
- A self-starter mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach
