What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Concession Worker position at Essex Westford School District?
The Essex Westford School District is looking for two (2) Summer Concession Workers. This position will be responsible for providing friendly and efficient service to customers at concession stands during summer events and recreational programming. This position ensures food and beverage items are prepared, served, and sold in compliance with safety and cleanliness standards, while maintaining a welcoming and inclusive environment for all patrons.
Location: EJRP, Maple Street Pool
Hourly Rate of Pay: $24.50 per hour, 11am-5pm (6) hours per day, 2-5 days per week. Some weekend availability may be needed.
Selling snacks, drinks, etc., using a point of sale, and handing out free meals for the summer program (students 18 and under).
Primary job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Greet customers, take orders, and provide accurate change using a cash register or point-of-sale system
- Prepare and serve food and beverage items according to established procedures (e.g., heating, assembling, portioning)
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work area, including food prep surfaces, equipment, and serving counters
- Restock inventory as needed and alert supervisor when supplies are low
- Ensure all safety and health regulations are followed, including proper food handling, handwashing, and equipment sanitation
