This role partners closely with plant supervision and cross-functional teams to secure the resources necessary to successfully execute inventory control requirements. The Inventory Analyst monitors inventory adjustments, material variances, and cycle count activities while developing corrective actions and procedures to minimize unplanned adjustments, improve accuracy, and control costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all raw materials and packaging inventories, including inventory monitoring, ordering, and collaboration with buyers to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Oversee all product returns by partnering with Customer Service, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to monitor, evaluate, and disposition returned inventory.
- Review and maintain bills of materials (BOMs), including monitoring work order setups and coordinating with Technical Services when updates or corrections are required.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding inventory availability and lead times, and provide updates to relevant internal teams.
- Ensure compliance with 10S standards within assigned areas, including safety, organization, housekeeping, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Monitor inventory adjustments and material variances; identify root causes and implement corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy.
- Ensure cycle count requirements are completed accurately and on schedule through regular audits and reconciliation activities.
- Serve as a trained backup for the Distribution Supervisor and Materials Manager as needed.
- Support operational needs by working off-shift schedules, weekends, and traveling when required.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned based on business needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field preferred; or a minimum of three (3) years of related inventory, warehouse, or materials management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems preferred; knowledge of QAD and Cyberquery is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including off-shifts and weekends, as business needs require.
- Availability to travel periodically as needed.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
