Position Overview
The Bare Wire Operator performs functions that operate the Wire Mills to draw copper rods into various gage size basket wire as required to meet production schedules.
Primary Responsibilities
Properly sets up and strings up the wire mills
Operates the wire mills to draw copper and aluminum rods to the required dimensions at the proper speed and produce wire in various gages
Stages and places coils, welding coils into coils in the take up
Education Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum Experience Required
Two (2) years of related experience
License(s) And/or Certification(s) Required
