Under the supervision of the Coordinator Testing Center or designee, the Testing Center Representative is responsible for assisting applicants with test preparation, taking placement exam, proctoring exams, and entering test results in Banner.
Supervisory Role
Oral and written instructions are received from the Coordinator Testing Center or designee. The Testing Center Representative may supervise support staff and student workers.

Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Coordinator Testing Center or designee, the Testing Center Representative is responsible for assisting applicants with test preparation, taking placement exam, proctoring exams, and entering test results in Banner.
Supervisory Role
Oral and written instructions are received from the Coordinator Testing Center or designee. The Testing Center Representative may supervise support staff and student workers.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist applicants with registration with scheduling and administering placement exams. Provide resources for test preparation and explain how scores are used for placement.
- Prepare lab for test administration, including Accuplacer, CLEP, TEAS-V, or other exams administered in the Testing Center.
- Proctor individuals taking tests; provide assistance to online test takers, giving instructions on how to take tests, enforcing time limits, helping individuals with testing accommodations, and monitoring student behavior to prevent academic dishonesty.
- Access Accuplacer system to obtain student scores for exams and enter results into Banner. Collect essays electronically and forward them for evaluation by English and ESL faculty enter essay scores into Banner.
- Work with the Welcome Center and Enrollment Services to establish processes for an efficient flow of students from admission to placement testing.
- Work with the New Student Academic Advisement Center/Office of Recruitment and Retention to establish flow of students from placement testing to academic advising.
- Availability to work some evening and weekends as needed to support testing schedules. Occasional travel to our satellite campus may be required.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and security of students' records.
- Prepare routine, special, and ancillary reports as required.
- Provide and coordinate regular training sessions and meetings with recruitment staff to discuss best practices and trends in community college admissions.
- Assists with various administrative tasks which may include responding to email inquiries, phone messages, ad organizing files.
- Perform other duties, as required.

- Bilingual- Spanish or French preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of computerized record management and maintenance systems, preferably the Banner system.
Experience (number of years), Knowledge and/or Abilities
- Associate's degree required.
- Demonstrated ability to work with students and provide quality customer service.
- Knowledge of standardize testing procedures and protocols.
- Ability to analyze questions and apply appropriate data/information to resolve problems.
- Strong organizational and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of web-based examination systems, preferably Accuplacer, CLEP, and TEAS-V.
- Proven ability to work independently and group setting, manage multiple tasks under pressure, and exercise sound judgment.
- Experience working effectively with diverse student populations, staff, and external constituents.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
