Job Responsibilities Include:
- Communication of quality requirements to Machine Operators and Supervisors as necessary.
- Facilitation of Quality Documentation as needed (Quality and Manufacturing).
- Filing/storage of production and inspection documents.
- Perform First inspection of part and then document the result.
- In-process attribute/functional gauging.
- Isolation and documentation of nonconforming product.
- Sorting and certifying rejected non-conforming product.
- Perform related job duties as needed and assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Basic math skills with an ability to learn and effectively uses various quality tools like Vernier calipers, height gages and other measurement tools.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel for writing and to maintain quality inspection log using one of these software tools.
- Ability to comprehend function of part being inspected and be able to make decisions on quality and inspection procedure(s) to use.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Reliable transportation to get to and from work at our Erie, PA location
- Positive attitude, good teamwork skills, and strong communication skills
- Able to read and follow instructions in English.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Willingness to learn/teach others.
- A keen eye for detail.
- Working knowledge of measuring tools.
- High School diploma or GED
