Summary:
Essentra is seeking a full-time R&D Technician for our Flippin, AR manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role is responsible for fabricating robotic components, operating basic machine shop equipment, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues in in-house robotic systems. This position is 100% onsite, Monday–Friday, with core work hours of 7:45 a.m.–3:45 p.m.
Typical Accountabilities:
- Operate mills, lathes, and welding equipment to build and modify robotic components.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues in robotic systems.
- Interpret technical information and apply problem‑solving skills to resolve equipment faults.
- Follow structured work processes and complete tasks within established deadlines.
- Complete related job duties as assigned and required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (preferred).
- At least 1 year of experience with injection molding robotics, production robotics, or related mechanical/electrical systems.
- Willingness to learn machining (mills, lathes) and welding of aluminum and steel.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic pneumatic and electrical circuits.
- A foundation in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, or electronic systems.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Collaborative mindset and patience when working with equipment and colleagues.
- Regular standing, walking, and manual work.
- Willingness to work overtime when needed.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
