Aqua has an opening for a Wastewater Operator/Mechanic trainee to work at the Beaver Falls wastewater system. Reporting to the Plant Supervisor and working with guidance from the Chief Operator, this role ensures safe, efficient plant operations and supports compliance, maintenance, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain plant equipment and processes.
- Monitor effluent quality and make operational performance adjustments.
- Perform lab sampling, testing, and reporting.
- Maintain accurate records and reports for regulatory compliance.
- Ensure safety protocols and plant security are followed.
Qualifications:
- 1 year of wastewater operations experience preferred.
- PA DEP Class A Water Operator Certification (subclasses 2 & 4).
- Strong math, communication, and computer skills.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs and pass required assessments.
Schedule:
- 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (may include shifts, weekends, holidays, and emergency callouts per union agreement)
