What are the responsibilities and job description for the Repair Technician - POS Equipment position at Essential Systems Solutions?
Essential Systems Solutions (ESS), a company located in Frederick, Maryland, is hiring full-time Repair Technicians to perform repairs on printers and associated computer peripheral products in support of our growing Repair Depot!
Repair Technicians work out of our Frederick, Maryland corporate office and work Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm.
Requirements:
- Performs repairs on printers and other computer equipment under limited supervision from management.
- Inspects a unit's inner and outer housing to determine repairable or non-repairable damage.
- Reads and follows written technical service procedures to determine unit performance.
- Inspects and accurately determines test prints or images.
- Performs firmware upgrades.
- Performs final testing to confirm repair results.
- Accesses and uses diagnostic programs.
- Is detail oriented and has the ability to talk to customers regarding estimates
- Completes paperwork and provides written e-mails describing the work performed
- Is self-supervising and able to work on your own as well as within a team
- Is able to follow standard operating procedures
- Is able to work overtime when needed.
- A or other related certifications are a plus, but not required
- Previous electronic repair experience preferred but not required.
