Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Guard to join our security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment, protecting property, and ensuring the safety of individuals within the assigned premises. This role requires a professional demeanor, strong observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
***This is a full time position with set working days. Must be comfortable with 12 hour shifts. Great overtime opportunity.***
Duties
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
- Conduct thorough surveillance using CCTV systems to ensure the safety of the premises.
- Enforce security policies and procedures while maintaining a visible presence to deter criminal activity.
- Provide first aid and CPR assistance when necessary, ensuring the well-being of individuals on-site.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during incidents or investigations.
- Manage conflicts effectively, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in law enforcement, military service, or security roles is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and equipment, including CCTV systems.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Proven conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail for identifying potential threats.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs is required for this role.
