Community Residential Property Managers

About the Role
We're seeking a Community Property Managers to oversee a portfolio of 150 residential units in the Northridge area. We are looking for operationally strong couple who can focus on tenant relations, operations, walk units, identify issues, manage vendors, and keep projects moving.
What You'll Do
Portfolio & Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day property operations for assigned residential units
- Conduct detailed property inspections
- Ensure compliance with safety and company standards
- Monitor property condition and proactively identify repair needs
- Maintain records of income, expenses, leases, and property activity
Renovations & Unit Turns
- Manage unit renovations from scope to completion
- Coordinate contractors, vendors, and maintenance teams
- Oversee timelines and budgets
- Ensure high-quality finishes and timely turnover
- Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, appliance, and common property issues
- Reduce vacancy days through efficient turn execution
Tenant & Financial Management
- Manage lease renewals and escalated tenant concerns
- Oversee rent collection and accounts receivable goals
- Maintain accurate property and financial records
- Support occupancy and revenue performance metrics

Qualifications Required
- 3 years of Residential Property Management experience (based on community size 100 units)
- Prior experience supervising and developing staff
- Strong knowledge of rent collection, delinquency control, and eviction processes
- Customer service experience in property management, hospitality, retail, or real estate
- Experience managing vendors and multiple projects simultaneously
- Working knowledge of maintenance; plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Experience with property management software (Yardi Brezze preferred)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Bilingual (English & Spanish)
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and budgeting processes
- Ability to analyze financial reports and market data
- Conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality
Work Environment & Schedule
This is an on-site position at a large apartment community. The Community Managers regularly interacts with residents, vendors, and corporate leadership.
Typical office hours are 9:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m. Monday -Friday with weekend availability (Saturday and/or Sunday) required depending on occupancy and property needs. Flexibility and responsiveness are essential.
