Job Title: Registered Nurse-Behavioral Health

Location: El Paso, TX (Ft. Bliss)

Job Summary:
Essential Healthcare Solutions is seeking qualified Behavioral Health Registered Nurses to coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals. Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality, and cost effectiveness. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to promote mental wellness and improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals. Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality, and cost effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the MTF.
• Perform physical exam and health histories.
• Provide health promotions, counseling, and education.
• Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions.
• Direct and supervise care provided by other healthcare professionals.
• Accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel.
• Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergencies.
• Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization.
• Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate.
• Perform nursing services.
• Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Degree: Associate’s degree in nursing.
• Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
• Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience: Possess a minimum of one year of experience within the last two years working as a full-time Registered Nurse – Behavioral Health.
• Basis Life Support Certification.
• Current TB screening, Immunizations, annual vaccinations, and physical examination.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and clinical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment:

• Must be capable of completing Prevention and Management of Disruptive Training-Military (PMDB-M) and achieving level 4 certification. Must be able to apply restraints as needed, must be capable of lifting overhead 20 pounds, bending repetitively, twisting/turning at the waist without restriction, and have no difficulty grasping/pulling.

SHIFT: Sunday – Saturday; Compressed Schedule 12 hours with 1 day working 8 hours. Regular hours up to a maximum of 80 hours per two-week workweek period.

Salary: $45/hr.
