Under the direction of the Manager of Radiology Services and the supervision of a Registered Radiologic Technologist; functions as a staff technologist within Radiology with the exceptions of contrast injecting and radiology operating room procedures. This is a student Radiology technologist position that is responsible for providing optimal patient care (X-ray Operators License is required in the state of Minnesota, exception: MRI).

Key Responsibilities:
- General x-ray: provide optimal patient care utilizing established and accepted techniques during administration of ionizing radiation for diagnostic and/or research in a way that is effective and appropriate to the age of the involved patient population (ages 0 to death)
- MRI: provide optimal patient care utilizing established and accepted MRI parameters during diagnostic and/or research exams in a way that is effective and appropriate to the age of the involved patient population (ages 0 to death)
- All: assist with department workflow by checking in and screening patients, performing room turnover, monitoring tech worklist, and following instruction from staff technologists
- Must be a student of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- 4-year program students must be 1 year from graduation. 2-year program students must be 6 months from graduation
- Currently attending and enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technology program, working towards American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
- If enrolled in 4-year program, must be 1 year from graduation. If enrolled in 2-year program, must be 6 months from graduation
Certification/Licensure Requirements:
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within 1 month from date of hire
- X-ray Operator's certification and in good standing with the Minnesota Department of Health; exception: MRI
