Job Summary

Join a rapidly growing, century-old food-manufacturing powerhouse in the Fort Atkinson WI area, renowned for exceptional employee tenure and a family-first culture. As the lead technical point person on a dedicated 2nd-shift team, this Industrial Automation Electrician ensures the safety, code compliance, and uptime of advanced automation systems in a modern, highly regulated food-grade facility — with world-class training, 100% paid continuing education, an elite overtime pay structure (1.5x daily after 8 hrs, 2.0x on Sundays), and zero corporate politics. Ideal for a sharp industrial electrician ready to step away from unpredictable commercial-construction bidding or chaotic third-party service routes into a long-term, high-earning career anchor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the lead technical resource on 2nd shift for troubleshooting, installation, and repair of all plant electrical infrastructure, industrial controls, and automated production panels.

  • Interpret complex electrical schematics, blueprints, and control-circuit logic to rapidly isolate, diagnose, and resolve equipment failures under active production conditions.

  • Execute all electrical maintenance, rewiring, component replacements, and hardware updates in strict adherence to national (NEC) and local electrical codes.

  • Document daily maintenance logs, track preventative-maintenance (PM) milestones, and update electrical drawings to reflect active field changes.

  • Use ladders, lifts, and scaffolding to safely access and service overhead power-distribution networks and production equipment.

  • Maintain a pristine, organized workspace per facility sanitation, allergen-control, 5S, and safety-first manufacturing protocols.

Education & Experience Requirements
  • 1 year of verifiable hands-on experience as an industrial electrician or electrical maintenance technician within an automated manufacturing or packaging environment.

  • High proficiency reading, interpreting, and translating three-phase power schematics, electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control-circuit logic — required.

  • Practical familiarity diagnosing faults across automated packaging networks, conveyor systems, VFDs, sensors, and motor control centers (MCCs).

  • Direct exposure to food/beverage or similarly regulated, high-hygiene production (safety, cleanliness, electrical-sealing standards).

  • Complete comfort working at heights (ladders, lifts, scaffolding) and around active high-voltage enclosures.

  • Rock-solid, dependable work history with multi-year tenures (job-hopping is a disqualifier).

  • Permanent residency within a 45-minute daily driving radius; US Citizen or Green Card holder (no sponsorship/relocation).

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Modern, highly automated, food-grade production facility with strict GMP safety and sanitation protocols. 100% onsite, 2nd shift. Requires working at heights and around active high-voltage/heavy machinery. Elite overtime structure: 1.5x after 8 hrs daily and 2.0x double-time on Sundays.

Compensation & Benefits

$42.00–$44.00/hour baseline ($88,000–$92,000/yr) plus daily overtime (1.5x after 8 hrs) and double-time (2.0x) for Sunday coverage.

100% company-paid tuition reimbursement

for related technical coursework, electrical apprenticeships, and automation certifications. Full benefits: premium medical/dental/vision, top-tier 401(k) with strong match, generous PTO and paid holidays, company-provided uniforms, safety-footwear allowance, and high-end tools.
