Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The Nurse Practitioner will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes while adhering to all regulatory standards and maintaining patient confidentiality.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical histories.
- Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries across various age groups, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and adults.
- Administer medications, injections, IV insertions, and perform venipuncture with precision.
- Manage patient care plans utilizing EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation of medical records and treatment notes.
- Provide patient education on health conditions, medication usage, and follow-up care instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians for complex cases requiring specialized intervention or referral.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Maintain proficiency in emergency procedures such as basic life support (BLS) and trauma protocols.
- Assist in maintaining a safe clinical environment by adhering to infection control standards and safety protocols.
- Document all patient interactions thoroughly using medical terminology and accurate medical records management.
Qualifications
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification in relevant specialties such as emergency medicine or urgent care.
- Experience working in Level I or Level II trauma centers preferred; hospital medicine or emergency room experience highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in infectious disease care, PICU, Geriatrics, medical-surgical units, outpatient clinics, or post-acute care settings.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for efficient documentation and patient record management.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology necessary for accurate patient assessment and treatment planning.
- Skilled in performing IV insertions, injections, venipuncture, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments requiring quick decision-making and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and educate patients effectively. Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
