We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Dermatology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or to join our team delivering dermatologic care to residents in long-term care and skilled nursing facilities.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Dermatology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or to join our team delivering dermatologic care to residents in long-term care and skilled nursing facilities.
- Provide on-site dermatology consults including o Initial assessments for skin conditions such as dermatitis, psoriasis, rashes, infections, and suspicious lesions o Routine follow-up visits for chronic skin conditions and wound monitoring
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations o Gather medical histories and perform dermatologic examinations o Order and interpret skin biopsies, and laboratory tests when appropriate
- Diagnose and manage dermatologic conditions including infections, inflammatory disorders, pressure-related skin changes, and skin cancers
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and dermatologists to develop treatment plans
- Perform minor procedures such as biopsies, cryotherapy, lesion removal, and wound-related skin treatments when appropriate
- Educate patients and caregivers on skincare, infection prevention, and treatment plans
- Ensure accurate EMR documentation and regulatory compliance
- Participate in quality initiatives aimed at improving skin integrity and reducing complications in SNFs
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility (Hospital/outpatient office experience will also be considered)
- Active and unrestricted NP license
- DEA license required
- CPR certification (BCLS/BLS)
- Master’s degree in Nursing (NP applicants)
- Graduation from an accredited NP program
- Preferred Experience in Dermatology (training available if not)
- Preferred Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Sigma, Visual, PCC - training provided)
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
