Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Echo Technologist to join our outpatient cardiology team in the Bronx. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality echocardiograms, including transthoracic and stress echocardiograms, to assist in the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular conditions.

Position Title Echo Technologist
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Echo Technologist to join our outpatient cardiology team in the Bronx. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality echocardiograms, including transthoracic and stress echocardiograms, to assist in the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular conditions.
Responsibilities include
- Perform diagnostic echocardiograms, including transthoracic and stress echocardiograms, on patients.
- Assist in transesophageal echocardiograms and echo-guided invasive procedures as needed.
- Prepare preliminary reports and transmit studies to the cardiology team.
- Maintain and operate echocardiography equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures, providing clear instructions and addressing concerns.
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior staff and students as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in cardiovascular technology or related field preferred.
- Graduate of cardiovascular sonography program
- Ultrasound registration as an RDMS as well as current BLS certification are required.
- One to two years’ experience in echocardiography
- Able to start as soon as possible
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
