Overview

In this position, you will work closely with clients in helping to define geospatial-centric solutions and implementation of those solutions. You will solve complex geospatial problems by evaluating and translating the customer's business goals, objectives, and strategies. The Emerging Technology Markets team supports many industries, including governments (federal, state, regional, and local communities), NGO groups, environmental engineering, natural resources, utilities, and commercial. The team you will work with are collaborative and forward leaning. They are problem solvers, listeners, facilitators, guides, and trusted advisors to thousands of ArcGIS users making a difference. We will benefit from the experience of working together as part of an extensive network of industry and technology experts.

The Professional Services division is the consulting and implementation arm of Esri. We break ground in new markets, push the technology envelope and ultimately deliver transformational solutions to high profile clients worldwide. The Professional Services organization is comprised of nearly 1,000 talented business and technical professionals who strive every day to help our users be successful.

Esri has a Relocation Assistance Program and can provide support with relocating to the Vienna, VA area for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Help clients translate real-world needs into practical, state-of-the-art solutions
  • Recommend relevant strategies, architectures, and solutions for customer requirements and work with customers to prepare implementations, change management, and migration activities
  • Manage projects and support customers throughout the entire project life-cycle, including requirements, analysis, design, build, and implementation
  • Lead the scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables through planning, tracking, quality assurance, change control, and risk management
  • Establish, develop, and expand relationships with customers, partners, and distributors
  • Work with Esri’s marketing and sales teams to develop new business
  • Lead innovative proposals and win work that showcases forward-leaning solutions
  • Mitigate challenges through proper escalation to achieve project and program completion
  • Collaborate with Esri’s practice managers and marketing and sales teams to support business development for technology and implementation patterns with new and existing customers
  • Support the development of others though our network of organizational teams and professional communities

Requirements

  • 8 years of professional experience in a similar position, supporting similar responsibilities
  • Professional experience supporting the design, implementation, and administration of enterprise geospatial technology (ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and/or ArcGIS Platform)
  • Demonstrated ability to translate a customer's business goals, objectives, and strategies into solutions
  • Ability to develop project designs, work plans, budgets and schedules
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written/verbal communication, multi-tasking, and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), geography, remote sensing, image processing, computer science, or a related STEM field

Recommended Qualifications

  • Knowledge of geospatial and mapping concepts such as spatial analysis, map projections, and more
  • Experience with ArcGIS, location-based services, geo-enabled apps, spatial analytics, or similar geospatial technology
  • Master's degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), geography, remote sensing, image processing, computer science, or a related STEM field

Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is: $107,120 USD - $183,040 USD
